Mr. Norman Dean Ross Sr., 75, of Bartlesville died Sunday afternoon at his home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ross Will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday July 5th at the First Baptist Church, in Dewey with interment in the Matoaka Cemetery, near Ochelata under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Ross was born on December 31, 1936 at Salina, Oklahoma to Field and Maggie (Smith) Ross. He grew up and received his early education at Salina Graduating high school with the Class of 1955. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for four years with the armed forces, and was later honorably discharged from the Navy in 1959, following which he was employed at the Pryor Carbide Plant.
He was married to the former Sarah Joyce Bowler on December 8, 1961 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma and they made their home at Salina for a short time until returning to the Bartlesville area. He was employed by McDonnell-Douglas as an aircraft assembly worker for 29 years until he retired in the mid 1990's. His Hobbies included fishing and hunting, and singing in a quartet which he sang in with his wife known as the Singing Redmen Quartet, and he also enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was a member of the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge #284 AF & AM.
Mr. Ross is survived by his daughter Mrs. Stephanie Buckland and her husband Guy, of Bartlesville, one sister Mrs. Maxine Kauley of Lawton, Oklahoma, by three grandchildren; Ms. Jessica Buckland, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Mrs. Julia Gott and her husband Ryan, of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, and Ms. Jordyn Buckland, of Bartlesville, and by Five Great Grandchildren; Kylie Bales, Lincoln Gott, Khloe Gott, Abri Gott, and Jakobe Gott, all of Barnsdall, and by numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and close friends.
Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents Field and Maggie Ross, by his wife, Sarah Joyce Ross in 2007, by his Son, Norman Ross Jr. In 2011, and by two sisters; Norma Jean Sanders, and Amelia Haven and a brother Floyd Ross.
Funeral services and interment were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory of Bartlesville.
