John Gotwalt passed away Thursday, November 11, 2015. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Dewey Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
John Phillip Gotwalt was born July 21, 1952 in Geneva, IL to Jack and Betty (Lowery) Gotwalt.
John is survived by his mother, Betty Gotwalt of Copan, and his companion, Betty Weaver of Springfield, MO. Three sisters: Carolyn Herring of East Peoria, IL, Dorothy Vransic of Dewey and Linda Gotwalt of Broken Arrow. Two brothers: David Gotwalt of Missouri and Nathaniel Gotwalt of Dewey. John is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
John was preceded in death by his father, Jack Gotwalt and his sister, Joann Mayton.
John was a very kind, loving and funny man. He enjoyed the outdoors and going on camping trips. His hobbies included cooking, riding motorcycles and watching old movies.
