Irene Sue Hacker Cummins passed away peacefully on Sunday May 31, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Sue was born on August 14, 1936 to Herschel and Bertha Hacker, in Dewey, OK. She graduated from Dewey High School in 1955. On March 15, 1957 Sue wed William H. (Bill) Cummins, Jr., of Copan. They were blessed with two sons, Gary William and Terry Dean.
Sue had many jobs during her adult life. She retired from Phillips Petroleum Company in 1996. After retiring, she and Bill traveled extensively with the Phillips 66 Gold club. She will be missed by all her friends and loved ones.
Sue is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill; sons, Gary Cummins and wife Leann of Owasso, Ok, and Terry Cummins, Raleigh, NC.; four grandchildren: Christopher Cummins, Parsons, KS; Dylan Cummins, Peyton Cummins, and Noah Cummins, all of Raleigh, NC: one brother, Wayne Hacker and wife Sandy of Dewey, OK; one brother-in-law, Lynn Williams of Dewey, OK; many nieces and, nephews, and friends; two special friends, Wes and Joyce Burpo of Nobelville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 PM, Thursday in the Stumpff Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday in the First Church of God in Dewey. Interment will follow at the Dewey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Sue's honor to The Journey Home, 3406 SE Kentucky, Bartlesville, OK 74006 or the Parkinson's Foundation.
