Mrs. Carol Gail Watson, 65, of Nowata, died at 7:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 2016 at the Journey Home in Bartlesville.

Services for Mrs. Watson will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, July 25, 2016 in the Dewey Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Joann Thompson of God's Gathering Place in Bartlesville officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Watson was born at Salina, Kansas on December 23, 1950 the daughter of Vernon Dale and Stella (Lawrence) Stewart. She grew up in California where her father was in the military and she was married to Lee Ray Watson Sr. on October 3, 1970 at Reno, Nevada. They made their home at Vallejo, California during Mr. Watson's military service and came to Oklahoma to make their home in 1973. They made their home in and around the Nowata area and she was employed briefly with Phillips Petroleum Co. until transitioning to Applied Automation (now ABB) from which she later retired. She liked to go on rides with her husband and read. She was a member of God's Gathering Place.

Survivors include two daughters, Terri Schinkel and husband David of Harbor, Washington and Katherine Gail Loveland and husband Eric of Brownsburg, Indiana, three sons, Lee Ray Watson Jr. and Kevin Todd Watson and his wife Jamie all of Bartlesville and Kenneth Dale Watson of Nowata, on brother, James E. Stewart of Nevada, and five grandchildren, Jonathan Loveland, Wyatt Todd Watson, Madison Leigh Loveland, David Schinkel and Kati Schinkel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ray Watson Sr. on October 13, 2014, a son, Jeffery Watson in infancy in 1976, her parents and one sister Dawn Stewart Berry.
