Lodema F. Truitt, age 78 and longtime Dewey, Oklahoma resident, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Brookdale South, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Lodema Faye McCollough was born on June 17, 1939 in Ramona, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of William Floyd ""Willie"" McCollough and Lola Bell (Street) McCollough. Lodema's family lived in Ramona for several years where she started grade school. She spent her 4th grade through 9th grade in Nowata, Oklahoma; her 10th and 11th grades were at College High in Bartlesville. Her senior year was at the Ramona High School where she graduated high school in 1957. She began a 30-year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in June 1957 and retired in 1989. On June 2, 1967, Lodema and Odey Marion Eugene ""Sonny"" Truitt were married in Miami, Oklahoma and they established their first home in Bartlesville. Lodema was a member of Harvest Time Assembly in Dewey. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Lee Truitt and his wife, Kerry, of Bartlesville, Marty Ray Truitt and his fiancé, Tonya Koster, of Dewey and Jody Gene Truitt and his wife, Barbara, of Olathe, Kansas; one daughter, Jalana Lynn Barron and her husband, Stanley ""Stan"", of Dewey; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Gwen Whitaker of Grove, Oklahoma and Lola Marcella Lockman and her husband, Danny of Dewey, Oklahoma; and one brother, William Stephen ""Steve"" McCollough of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Lodema was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sonny; her son Robert Eugene Truitt and his wife, Debbie; great-grandson, Hunter Truitt; one sister, Dorothy Lavone Keith; and two brothers, J. W. McCollough and Jarvis McCollough.

The family suggests In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to reNEW Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 427, Dewey, OK 74029. Come and go visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Family will be present to greet friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Services for Mrs. Truitt will be held on Friday, June 15, at 1:00 PM in the Northpoint Assembly of God Church, Dewey. Rev. Eugene Hewitt will be the officiant.

Interment will follow the service in the Dewey City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
