DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Carol June Toney, 70, died Saturday in her Copan home surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was one of eight children born to Leo and Fawn (Brown) Dobbs on Oct. 26, 1947, in Dewey, OK. She was a lifelong area resident, attending Dewey schools with the Class of 1965. Carol worked 23 years for Oklahoma Beverage, which bottled Coca-Cola products, retiring when the plant moved to Tulsa in 1990. Carol was active with Dobbie’s, her family’s business in Dewey since 1982, and in 2015, she became the owner just one year after they celebrated their 60th anniversary. After five years of going together, Carol was united in marriage with Fred Toney on Feb. 19, 1997, in Miami, OK. They made their home west of Copan.

Carol loved her family and most recently cherished time spent with her great-grand babies. Shopping and visiting with friends along the way could turn into long adventures. She enjoyed watching old westerns on TV. Carol often said, “I’ve been blessed with the many good friends I’ve made over the years and lived the simple life”. She will be dearly missed by her beloved family, friends and customers.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of the home Fred; one son, Bob “Bobby” Doane and Sue Mulcahey of Lawrence, KS; daughters Debra Sipes of Anderson, SC, and Brenda McCollough and Kyle of Bartlesville; three brothers, Sylvester “Bud” Dobbs and Mona of Bartlesville, Jack L. Dobbs and Polly of Copan, and Russell “Rusty” Dobbs of Dewey; one sister Barbara Gilmore and Floyd of Harker Heights, TX; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan, Brittany, Tanner, Travis, Amber and Kendal; eleven great grandchildren, Adelaide, Annora, Abram, Brooks, Mackenzie, Logan, Dalton, Hudsyn, Tucker, Masyn and Tenley; best friend and caregiver Donna Sue Ness; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Ancil “Skipper” Dobbs and David Leo Dobbs, and sister Cleo Holtz.

Carol’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wed., Nov. 8, at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplin Steven Griffith officiating. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.

Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Carol’s family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
