Robert "Bob" Paul Vanderlinden, 66, of Bartlesville, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Bob was born August 2, 1956, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Don and Lois (Boyce) Vanderlinden. Bob attended high school in Sioux City. In Bob's early adulthood, his family moved to Tulsa and Bob stayed behind for a few years. He decided to move to Tulsa in the early 1980s with his first wife Kathy and his son Aaron. This marriage ended soon after. In 1987, he met the love of his life, Neva Smith, at Neva's sister's wedding. Bob took one look at Neva and told his brother that he was going to "marry that girl." They started dating on February 8, 2001, and the couple eventually married 18 years later, on Feb. 9, 2019.

Bob liked to work on and fix up his cars and he always kept them in tip-top shape. He was a jokester and had a wonderful sense of humor. Bob loved to collect eagle figures, fly the American flag, and loved the 4th of July. He loved his country. Most of all, Bob loved the Lord.

Family meant everything to Bob. He loved visiting his parents and he adored his grandchildren. Bob enjoyed spoiling them. He always had goodie bags for them every time he saw them. On Halloween, he would fill gallon-sized bags with candy for each of the grandchildren. The love and traditions he had with his family will forever live on in their memories.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Neva; a son, Aaron Vanderlinden; a stepson, James Smith; two stepdaughters, Brandi Wadsworth and her husband Heath, and Jill Smith; two brothers, Don and Mike Vanderlinden; a sister, Deborah Faulkenberry and her husband Glenn; and five grandchildren, Serenity, Taylor, Lexis, Bailey and Aven. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Steve Vanderlinden.

Bob's family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 10-8 Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, at the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel, with Reverend Waymond White officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Fortna, Jeremiah Fortna, Kevin Fortna, Don Fortna, Michael Muse and David Vanderlinden. Interment will follow in the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home - Dewey Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
