Mr. Robert Joe Scholl, 85, of Wann, died at 10:25 A.M. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his home in rural Wann.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Scholl will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Dewey Cemetery with Rev. Chris Cooper and Rev. Bill Spencer officiating. Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

The Scholl family will receive guests at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 P.M.until 7 P.M.

Mr. Scholl was born south of Wann, Oklahoma on April 9, 1932 the son of James William Scholl and Mabel (Jones) Scholl. He grew up in the Wann area and attended Antioch School then finished high school at Dewey and Wann. He had worked on the farm and ranch with his dad and also worked in the oil fields. He Met Thelma Ellen Truitt in 1951 and they were married on June 8, 1952. They have made their home in the Wann area all of their married life and he was active in farming and ranching. He had also served as a deputy sheriff for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for several years. He was a member of the Wann Baptist Church, was a great husband and father. He would help any one that needed help and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Scholl is survived by his wife, Thelma of the home, one son, Ron Scholl and wife Sheryl of Wann, one daughter, Karen Scholl Marshall and husband, Jim of Wann, two grandchildren, Melissa Scholl Payne and husband Sean and Randy Scholl and one great granddaughter, Viviana Payne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harry Scholl in 1944 and a granddaughter, Lauren Scholl in 1986.
