Private family services will be held at cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Nichols was born at Dewey, Oklahoma on June 12, 1932 the son of George Henry Nichols and Myrtle (Bowman) Nichols. He grew up and received his education in the Dewey and Bartlesville areas. He was married to Betty Jane Hendricks on March 21, 1952. They made their home in this area until moving to Eufaula in 1987.
Mrs. Nichols preceded him in death and Mr. Nichols returned to Bartlesville to make his home in September of 2019. Mr. Nichols has operated the Phillips 66 Service Station at 18th & Hillcrest in Bartlesville for 14 years and was then employed as a machinist at TRW-Reda Pump until his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Nichols and wife Debbie J. Nichols and Timothy Nichols and wife DeeAnn all of Bartlesville, two grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Nichols and wife Sydney and Danielle Nicole Hendrick and husband Jake, and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
