Darlynn Postrach
January 13, 1956 - December 2, 2022

Darlynn Postrach, 66, of Dewey, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022.

Darlynn was born January 13, 1956, in Bartlesville, to Bert "Podge" and Wanda Lou (Piltz) Catlin. She graduated in 1974 from Bartlesville Col-High School and then attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. After her father was seriously injured, she returned home before graduating, so she could help care for him.

Darlynn met the love of her life Randy at SPI Heat and Air, where she and Randy were both working. The couple married on April 14, 1989, and they moved to Dewey in 1995.

She adored her grandchildren and was very present in their lives. Darlynn liked going to garage sales, flea markets, Facebook sales, and antique stores, always looking for treasures. She and Randy enjoyed traveling to Arkansas, Eureka Springs, and Branson.

Darlynn volunteered a lot to work at the gates of the various Dewey sports games. If the line was long, it was because Darlynn greeted everyone with a kind word and a smile. She enjoyed getting to know all the people and remembered each one. She was always caring about everyone. Darlynn was known for both her sweet words and her sweet tea. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Darlynn is survived by her husband, Randy Postrach, mother, Wanda Catlin; her daughter, Amber Gastel and her husband Brad; her son Joey Rogers and his wife Sondra; siblings, Mike Catlin, Sandy Edens, Cathy Sutton and husband Tony, Jerry Catlin and wife Darla, Patty Walker and husband Frank Ball, and Eddie Catlin; seven grandchildren, Addison, Gracie, Layne, Kenidi, Jared, Maci, and Case; three special friends, Dana Braden, Shannon Brown, Theresa Diller; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bert "Podge" Catlin, siblings, Bert Catlin Jr., and Sherry Crabtree; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bessie and Bill Boatright; and a grandson, Lathe Gastel.

Darlynn’s family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey. Visitation will also be held from 10-8 Monday and 10-12 Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Dewey First Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Interment will follow at the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
