Dessie Lee (Wadsworth) Patrick was born February 23, 1935 and she peacefully departed this world the morning of September 19. She was at home and in the presence of her caregiver and beloved daughter-in-law, Doreen when she left us.

Dessie was born in Pawhuska to Earnie and Mendie Wadsworth. She often recalled the trips her family made to California to work harvesting various crops like oranges. She met her husband Ashland (Pat) Patrick and they were married August 23, 1950. They made their home in Bartlesville, until the winter of 1967 when they moved to a farm in Copan. While caring for her family, she also worked at a local hotel. After leaving the hotel industry she began caregiving for individuals as a home health aid. A job at which she loved and excelled.

She spent hours doting on her two granddaughters, curling their hair and buying them whatever their little hearts desired. She also enjoyed hand embroidery and fishing at any of her family farm ponds. She wasn't one to sit at home for very long. One could often find her yelling Bingo! or playing the penny slots at a local casino. During her last months with us she found the wonderful people at ElderCare. She talked fondly of the scavenger hunts on the bus, having her nails painted, the many craft projects, and all the dice, card and bingo games they played.

Dessie is preceded in death by her husband, Ashland (Pat), her sons, Ernie Pat and George Allen, and her siblings, Bessie Simmons, Leon Wadsworth, Leona Goad, and Levon Wadsworth. She is survived by her caregiver and daughter-in-law, Doreen Patrick, her granddaughters Melissa Patrick (Josh Engelbert) and Ashley Patrick, great-grandsons, Wyatt and Waylon Engelbert, and siblings, Margie Ingram Brace and Alvin Wadsworth, several nieces and nephews and friends whom she all loved deeply.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to ElderCare of Bartlesville in her name. A link can be found on their website.
