July 16, 1940 - October 16, 2025

Dorothy June Martin of Dewey, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Oct 16th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service that touched countless lives.

Born on July 16, 1940, in Checotah, Oklahoma, June was the cherished daughter of Woodrow and Irene Wilson. She pursued her education at Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, where she was honored as Homecoming Queen—a reflection of her radiant spirit and the warmth she shared with everyone around her.

June dedicated her life to education, serving for many years as a beloved elementary teacher in Bartlesville Public Schools. Her commitment to nurturing young minds earned her a place in the Bartlesville Teacher Hall of Fame in 2013, a testament to her profound impact on generations of students.

She is survived by her sons, Keith Martin of Bend, Oregon, and Stacey Martin of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and her grandchildren, Nicolas and Keira Martin of Bend, Oregon. June was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her sister, Colleen Jackson of Warner, Oklahoma.

June will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend. Her laughter and unwavering kindness enriched the lives of all who knew her.

The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to Lynn Rogers for the exceptional care and compassion she brought to June during the final months of her life. Lynn's playful presence was a true blessing.

June will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and former students. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely.
