DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Jackie Lee Kiado, 73, of Dewey, died Wednesday in Dewey.

She was born into a large family and went on to give life to her greatest pride and joy – her four precious daughters, Beverly LeeAnn Woodward, Elizabeth Dawn French, Jon Kelli Allen and Kandy Sue Sizemore, and to love the grandchildren and great grandchildren her girls blessed her with. Her life story began on July 15, 1946, in Chanute, KS, when Jackie was born the only daughter and second of eight children to John Sherman and Kathleen Ruth (Shaw) Dunlap. At a young age the family moved to Dewey where she received her education. Jackie married her high school sweetheart John Gilmore in 1963 and they made their home in Dewey. The light and love of her life at this time were her four daughters that she stayed at home to raise. Once the girls were older Jackie decided to complete her GED so that she could enter nursing school at Tri County Tech and earn her LPN certification. She worked for many years at Jane Phillips Hospital and local care centers. During this time she was the nurse for the local Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) chapter for children. Jackie had many passions in life and they included reading books by Danielle Stelle and Amish novels. She enjoyed crocheting and made a special afghan for each of her children. Yearly trips to Eureka Springs with her girls were a highlight with the best part being the drive back and forth. Just recently Jackie requested one last trip to visit her brother’s house on the Gulf Coast with the girls and so much fun was had playing games and laughing. The annual family reunion was sure to happen with Jackie organizing all the details every year. She will be remembered for her love of Elvis, Mickey Mouse and her homemade stuffing at Thanksgiving. Most of all Jackie loved her family and her grandchildren, and she loved being around, in each of their lives. She was the matriarch and everyone looked up to her.

Jackie will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her, her four daughters and their spouses: Beverly LeeAnn Woodward, Elizabeth Dawn French and husband Robert, Jon Kelli Allen and husband Tom and Kandy Sue Sizemore; five siblings, Lois and Pat Dunlap, Larry and Danielle Dunlap, Dannie and Kim Williams, Chuck Dunlap and Tommy Ballard, 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Joe Williams and Rick Williams.

Jackie’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Friday, from 6-8 p.m.

Visitation will also be held on Friday from 11-8. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, at the Rose Hill Community Baptist Church, with Brother Orville Moody officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel.
