DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Danny Dale Kelley Sr., age 64, died unexpectedly at 10:25 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016; near Dewey, Oklahoma, doing what he loved – spending time with family and friends while riding his ATV.

He was born on August 9, 1951 in Placerville, California to the late Cecil and Dorothy (Wiggs) Kelley and moved to Dewey, Oklahoma, when he was young. At the age of 17, Danny enlisted in the US Marines Corp where he proudly served during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to Dewey, he was a member of the James E. Bailey VFW Post 989 in Bartlesville.
Danny was a devoted father (aka, Daddy / Poppy / Pops), Grandfather (“PaPa”) and friend. He worked for Reda Pump (Bartlesville) and then went into Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base (OK), Naval Weapons Station (SC) then finally retiring from Naval Air Station (MS). He returned to his hometown of Dewey to be closer to his family.
Our Dad was funny, ornery and had a huge heart that held his family and friends. He loved the Oklahoma Sooners and (sorry to say) Alabama too. You could always find him hanging out at Rob’s shop and enjoying the outdoors. But, his ultimate pride and joy was his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. He never hesitated to be there for the special moments and the hard times.

Danny is survived by his children Stephanie Kelley of Dewey, Danny Kelley and his wife, Donna, of Bartlesville; and Karen Succi-Siebrecht and her husband, Scott, of Las Vegas (NV); along with the mother of his children, Shirley Kelley of Meridian (MS); his brother Larry Kelley and his wife, Sharon, of Glenpool (OK); four sisters, Barbara Wilson and her husband, David, of Fallon (NV); Sandy Rutherford and her husband, Kenny, of Winfield (KS); Lola Hake and her husband, Kelly, of Bristow (OK); and Faye Jack of Glenpool (OK). He is also survived by six grandchildren, Ashley Kelley, Dustin Kelley, Taylor Kelley, Kendall Kelley, Dalin Siebrecht and Teven Siebrecht; and one great-granddaughter, Kenadie Harder. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Steve Kelley and Jerry Kelley; and his sister, Patricia Kelley.

He will also be dearly missed by the numerous Foster Children that found a safe haven in the home of Danny & Shirley Kelley. As well as his best friend, Rob Hahn, and his family who all very much loved Danny.

Graveside service will be held at 2 pm this Friday, April 22, at Dewey Cemetery with Harry Henderson officiating.
Condolences may be made online at www.davisfamilyfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements are under the care of Davis Family Funeral Home in Dewey, Oklahoma.
