Funeral services for Billy Gene Walker, 60, of Checotah, OK, will be held at
10:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at Millsap Funeral Service Chapel in Fort
Gibson with Reverend Wendell Cox officiating. Burial will be in Three Rivers
Cemetery in Okay.
Billy was born November 11, 1949 at Muskogee, OK, the son of Eugene and Melvina
(Helsley) Walker and died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at his home. He was a
lifelong resident of the area and worked as a rock mason.
Survivors include his wife, Nora, of the home; daughter, Stephene Finney of
Muskogee; step-daughter, Nora Friend, of Fort Gibson; step-son, Aaron Friend and
wife Amber of Fort Gibson; two brothers, Wayne Walker of Wagoner, Larry Walker
of Muskogee; two sisters, Mary Ann Landrum of Wetumka, Kay Butler of Council
Hill; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Vinny; one sister Ruth; two
brothers, James and Leon.
