Opal June Smith passed away Tuesday morning, February 3, 2015 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years. She was born June 29, 1931 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma to Ed and Edna (Boling) Lasater.

Opal married Paul Jean Smith September 10, 1949 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, canning and baby-sitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sisters, Ethel Wilson Haribson and Betty Deimert-Henry; brother, Dale Lasater; two infant brothers; four infant sisters; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Smith and sister-in-law, Nellie Fleming.

Opal is survived by her children, James Smith and wife Janey of Hixson, Tennessee, Donald Smith and wife Kathy of Okay, Wesley Smith of Tulsa, and Nancy Allen and husband Robert of Muskogee; grandchildren, Shane Allen and wife Libby of Muskogee, Dayne Allen and wife Winter of Muskogee, Wayne Allen and wife Kim of Fort Gibson, Matthew Smith and wife Samantha of Rossville, Georgia and Joshua Smith of Park Hill; great grandchildren, Destrie Allen, Brett Allen, Blayne Allen, Alyssa Allen, Lex Nodine, Kyran and Kaden McCaleb and Jacob and Tabatha Smith; brother, Edward Lasater and wife Maggie of Okay; Sisters, Marie Shelton of Hartshorne, Cleo Laster of Muskogee and Sandra Fowler and husband Donald of Wagoner and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM., Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the Three River's Cemetery in Okay under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home, Wagoner.

The family request donations be made to Three River's Cemetery, P. O. Box 444, OK, OK 74446.
