Charles L. V. Six, of Okay, passed away Friday, October 29, 2004 in Wagoner at
the age of 63 years. He was born December 26, 1940 in Locust Grove to Charles
Douglas and Nellie Mayo (Cagle) Six.
Charles had served in the National Guard and after graduating from high school in 1961, he entered the U.S. Army and served until his discharge in 1980. Charles married Rosina Mary Payton August 11, 1966, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He had worked for the City of Muskogee Street Department and had delivered the Muskogee Daily Phoenix Newspaper. He also worked for Unarco, Stout Trash Service and retired from Jim Hinds Sanitation. Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church in Locust Grove and enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry Michael Six, Sr. and Robert Carl Six and one sister, Linda Mayo Six and his wife, Rosina Mary Six on October 30, 1995.
Charles is survived by his brothers, George William Six and wife, Rae, of Gilbert, Arizona, Billy Wayne Six, Sr. and wife, Lucy, of Locust Grove, Stanley David Six and wife, Deborah, of Locust Grove; sisters, Barbara Sue Fritts of Fort Gibson, Myrtle Patricia Harris and husband, Donald, of Ft. Gibson, Bettye JoAnn Bell and husband, Sherman, of Locust Grove, Evelyn Kay Sibila and husband, Luis, of Muskogee and Kathryn Christine Sampson of Muskogee; sister-in-law, Pauline Six of Salina, Oklahoma; step-son, Michael Payton and wife, Anne, of England; a very special friend, Joyce Orman and son, Trey, of Okay and Terry Hatcher and sons, Josh and Austin, of Okay; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday. November 1, 2004, in the First Baptist Church in Okay with Reverend Ron Forrest and Reverent Larry McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Three Rivers Cemetery.
