Cheryl K. Smith, age 51, of Wagoner passed this life on Monday, February 20, 2006 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Curtis officiating.

Interment will follow in Wagoner at the Elmwood Cemetery, under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home.

Cheryl was born in San Mateo, California on July 1, 1954 to Jerry and Shirlene (Stepp) Oman. Cheryl was a 1972 Muskogee High School graduate. She married David M. Smith and they have shared 15 wonderful years and raised three children. Cheryl enjoyed talking and visiting with people. She was very outgoing and was known for her great smile. Cheryl worked in the Wagoner Court Clerk office for over 15 years and later took a position as the Reservation Coordinator at the Western Hills Lodge, Sequoyah State Park. A job she enjoyed until her health began to fail. Her family and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She had quite a collection of Precious Moments, but most of all she loved to go fishing.

Cheryl is survived by her husband David of the home, her parents; Jerry and Shirlene Oman of Muskogee, OK, one son; Jason Smith and his wife Crystal of Wagoner, two daughters; Cheri Vunetich and her husband John and Kelsey Smith all of Wagoner. One brother; Paul Oman of Muskogee and one sister; Tammie Parker of Ft . Gibson . Seven grandchildren; Caitlyn, Justin, Matthew, Cody, Tanner and Bailey Smith and Jacob Vunetich. Nephews, nieces, other family members and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Leroy Gartrell, Zachary Oman, Jay Parker, Nathan Parker, Ed Smith, Carlos Stepp and Honorary Pallbearer, Larry Hammons.
