Shirley Jane Hawk, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Harris) Castillo was born February 12, 1956 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 20, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 8 days.
 

Shirley loved life and she loved her family. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in their different sporting events through the years. Being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought a sparkle to her eye. She enjoyed shooting pool, crunching ice and fishing with her husband Guy until his health kept them home. She loved the Lord and would use the talent he gave her to play the piano and sing. She played the piano and sang in church for many years. Shirley worked as a cook for the Stilwell Public School System until her retirement. Shirley touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Guy Hawk; and her brother Charles Castillo.
 

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Oleta St. Pierre and husband Robert of Stilwell, Cynthia Pack and husband Larry of Stilwell, Keisha Johnson and husband Earl of Siloam Springs, Guy Hawk and wife Jennifer of Stilwell and Michael Hawk and wife Tabitha of Jay; her brother Buddy Hughes of Stigler; 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.


Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Pritchett and Bro. Gary Flynn officiating.

Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
