(permission granted)
Larry Earnest Martin, 47, of Skiatook, died unexpectedly
Wednesday in Tulsa. An avid biker, Larry has graduated from “Ride Often, Ride
Free” and now will Ride Forever.
Larry was born the son of Larry Gene and Pattsy Sue Orsburn Martin on November
12, 1968 in Tulsa, OK. He was raised and educated in Barnsdall where he
participated in track and field. Larry lived most of his life in the Osage,
Washington and Tulsa counties. He worked for many years at Hillcrest Country
Club in Bartlesville and currently worked for the Tulsa Housing Authority.
Larry had remarkable talent as an artist which he had displayed from an early
age. He was an accomplished leather and metal artist who made suits of armor,
Roman gladiator suits and leather items used in the customization of
motorcycles. As a teenager he developed his love for motorcycles, with a special
sweet spot for dirt bikes back then to street bikes now. His latest Harley was
customized with his leather work including the seat, gas tank and headlight.
Larry is survived by his mother Pattsy Orsburn, one sister Corrina Martin, one
brother Stony Goad and Christina, two nieces, Tara Martin and Samantha Goad, two
nephews, Daniel Martin and Tristen Goad, one great niece Aurora Martin, numerous
cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th, at the
Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs. Services are under the
direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.
