Mary Ellen Young passed away at the age of 93 in Bixby, OK surrounded by her loved ones.
Mary was born on November 27, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK and was raised by her parents Albert and Emma (Wilkerson) Banks. After high school, Mary attended nursing school at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, where she would continue working until her retirement. She moved to Collinsville in 1979 from Tulsa. Mary was a member of the Collinsville Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mary will be missed dearly.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Linda Laughlin and Susan Laughlin Hedges and husband Buster; 4 grandchildren, Lisa Buteau and husband Aaron, Shannon Turner, Buster Hedges Jr., and Justin Hedges; 5 great grandchildren, Andrew, Ruthie, Naomi, Avery, and Jace.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband Connie Young.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 6 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hermon Wood officiating.
Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
