Linda Rae Wellington, 76, of Prue, OK passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 surrounded by her family.


Visitation for Linda will be from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Prue with Bro. Garry McDevitt officiating.  Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
 

Linda was born on September 30, 1944 to Ellis Cecil Peachee and the former Oleta Earl McKinney in Haileyville, OK. Her family later moved to Collinsville, where she attended high school. She met and married the love of her life Carlis Eugene Wellington and they remained married for 57 years.  Linda made a career in public education.  She retired from Tulsa Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher.  Linda was a, active member of the First Baptist Church of Prue and the Senior Citizens.  She was a wonderful cook and very skilled at sewing.  Linda made many special occasion outfits for her daughter and a number of quilts for her family.


Linda is survived by her husband Carlis Eugene Wellington of the home; her children Randall Eugene Wellington and Carla Cherise Tilley; her sister Mary Lou Wellington; 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Bailey, Brooke, Paige, and Chad; 4 great grandchildren, Keira, Kailey, Kylee and Harper; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Oleta Peachee; 4 siblings, Barbara Gail Kirk, Mirtie Jane Shanks, her twin sister Lois Mae Brown, and infant sister Charlotte Ann Peachee; sister-in-law Shirley Ann Boyd and brother-in-law D.F. Wellington.
