William Sowell of Tulsa passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the age of 68.

Larry was born on June 15, 1950 to Harvey and Quida (Baxter) Sowell. Larry met Mary Jo Simons and they were married on June 29, 1968. Together they raised two daughters. He was a mechanic by trade and operated Seal’s Auto Repair with his brother Lynn. When not working on cars, Larry enjoyed hunting fishing, and spoiling his grandkids and great grandkids. All of which had their own special names given by him. He will be missed by many.

Larry is survived by his wife Mary Sowell of the home; his daughters Tammy Ridgway and husband Terry and Danyel Edwards and husband Danny; his brother Lynn Sowell and wife Jeannie; 9 grandchildren, Tyler and Tony Ridgway, Stephanie, Jesse, Brent, Seth, and Laney Bauders, Aaron and Nick Edwards; 22 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

His parents and his brother, Bitsy Sowell, preceded Larry in death.
 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry’s honor to The Foundation for Exceptional Warriors, www.exceptionalwarriors.org.
 

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.

Lunch with be served at the home of Delbert & Wanda Heaps.
