Joe was a coach and my algebra teacher at my high school. He then transferred to Collinsville and later to his wife's original home in KS. He has markers both in Collinsville and KS where he and his wife had ashes scattered on both. His claim to fame is that he has been incorporated into the OK coaches Hall of Fame. He is also the brother of Jim Shoulders another hall of famer for his bull riding.
