Bill Erwin Pope was born December 28, 1933 to Jewell and Ruby Pope in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

He departed this life November 09, 2019 at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 14 days.

Bill grew up in and around the Tulsa area.  Upon graduating Collinsville High School he served in the Armed Forces Navy division from 1951-1964 and then the Army National Guard from 1977-1996.  Bill worked as a truck driver and general laborer.  He was a resident of Mesa, Arizona moving there in 1986 and had moved back to Oklahoma; living in Tulsa and most recently Bristow prior to his passing.  He loved bowling and would sometimes bowl as part of a league.     

Bill is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Allene Pope, of Tulsa; two daughters, Janet Sue Zook and Brenda Sue Shuman; two sons, Lloyd Neil Pope and Robert Daniel Pope; one brother, Elmer Lee Pope; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, David Wayne Pope and Ruth Ann Peterson; brothers, Ben Pope, Paul Richard Pope, Joe Francis Pope, Charles Pope and sister Alma Jean Pope

Interment will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
