Douglas James Pavey
Nov 30, 1962 - Sep 2, 2026
Collinsville

Douglas James Pavey, known to many as Doug, passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on November 30, 1962, Doug will be remembered as a man who built his life around hard work, the people he loved, and the simple things that brought him joy.

Doug graduated from Collinsville High School and went on to become the owner of Pavey's Paint and Body. He was a skilled auto body repairman whose work reflected both talent and dedication. Through his career, he earned the respect of those who knew him and the trust of those who depended on his craftsmanship.

Outside of work, Doug found happiness in riding motorcycles, enjoying cars, and caring for animals - especially the occasional oddball that found a place on what he and Chasty lovingly called their Funny Farm. He treasured being with friends and family, and those moments of togetherness were among the most meaningful parts of his life.

Doug is survived by his wife, Chasty Pavey; his son, Brock Pavey; his brother Danny Pavey and sister-in-law Linda Pavey; his sister, Denise Pavey; the mother of his children, Janet Pavey; and many nieces and nephews, family and friends. He also leaves behind many memories in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Pavey; his mother, Velvin Juanita "Nita" Pavey; his daughter, Hannah Pavey; his son, Harley Pavey; his brother, David Pavey; and his sister, Darla Higginbotham. Their memories remained a lasting part of his life and story.

A funeral service will be held on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Collinsville, 1301 West Main Street, Collinsville, Oklahoma 74021, with Rob Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.

Doug will be remembered with affection for his steady work, his love of motorcycles and cars, his care for animals, and the way he valued time with the people closest to him. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
