Bobby Gene Moore
Sep 15, 1931 - Sep 3, 2026
Collinsville

Bobby Gene Moore, affectionately known to many as Bob, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on September 15, 1931, he lived a long life marked by hard work, dedication, and a deep connection to the land.

Bob married Ellen Louise McAfee in 1950 and together they raised two sons. They were together for 73 before her passing in 2024.

Bob was a true jack of all trades, yet his life's main focus was being a cattleman. He was the owner of Moore Limousin Farms, a work that reflected both his skill and his commitment to the cattle business. Farming, ranching, and cattle were not simply occupations to him, but a way of life. He took great pride in acquiring land for raising cattle to sell, and his years of labor and stewardship stood as a lasting reflection of his determination and vision.

He is survived by his sons, Tony Moore and Jesse Moore; and by his daughter-in-law, Denise Moore. He also leaves behind a beloved circle of grandchildren: Jared and Sunni Moore, Jessica and Gregg Metzger, Travis and Mandy Moore, Joel and Sandra Moore, and Jordan Moore, and 8 great grandchildren. Their lives stand among the many blessings of his legacy, and his family will continue to carry forward the values of perseverance, commitment, and love that he lived each day.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Moore; his father, Leonard Van Moore; his mother, Gladys Adeline (Lindsey) Moore; his brother, Lynn Dale Moore; and his niece, Jill Moore. Their memories remained a part of his life, and he now rests in their company.

A funeral service for Bobby Gene Moore will be held on September 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Collinsville, 1301 West Main Street, Collinsville, Oklahoma 74021 with Dr. Tim Prock officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.

Bob will be remembered with respect and gratitude for a life spent working the land, building his cattle operation, and loving his family. His memory will remain dear to all who knew him.
