COLLINSVILLE DOLTON FUNERAL HOME
COLLINSVILLE, TULSA CO, OK
(permission granted)

Evelyn Lucinda Gooch, a 70 year old resident of Owasso, OK peacefully died in her sleep Sunday January 11, 2021 at St Johns hospital. She was unable to have her whole family her, being that she had covid. She was allowed to have her husband, Dwight, her son Jim and her daughter Vickie by her side as she left us to sleep with the angels.

Evelyn or Evy as she was affectionately known, was married to Dwight Gooch for 37 years and raised his 5 kids that she cherished as her own. 7 kids in all Darren, Jim, Devyn, Troy, Vickie, Dathen and the baby Talitha. Each one had a very special place in their momma’s heart!

She was blessed with 16 grand kids and double blessed with 10 great grand kids.

Evy will be sorely missed by her sisters, Joyce, Carlotta Lynn, Kathy, Marilyn, Beverly and Threasa and had an older sister that passed when she was younger, Sherry.

Her parents were Ruby Maxfield Johnson and Thurman Johnson, and she was from Tulare CA.

She enjoyed entertaining her sis-in-law, Sherry Pruit, who visited her often and kept her company.  She spent her late nights with Stevie Boy playing Words With Friends and chatting far into the night.

During her career time she was a nurses aid and took care of the elderly and then went on to be a school bus driver, which she loved doing. She was told during training that she could drive in reverse better than most could drive forward. She drove disabled kids and loved every minute of it.

There are so many that LOVE AND MISS YOU MOM, we’re all heart broken without you and can’t imagine a world without you in it.
