Phyllis Jo Daniels, 88, of Wann, OK, went to be with her Savior and Lord on June 20, 2018.

Phyllis was born January 29, 1930, in Earlsboro, OK, to John and Jesse McMurtrie. Phyllis graduated from College High School in 1948. She worked many years of her life as an accountant for the Scudder Ranch. Phyllis’ pride and joy were raising her three children: William Joseph, Michael Pierre, and Linda Kaye.

On April 20, 1974, Phyllis married the love of her life, Virgil Daniels of Collinsville, OK. The couple had many adventures and travels together. Virgil and Phyllis opened Daniels Insurance agency. Phyllis was an Oklahoma Farmers Union agent. After 20 years, Virgil and Phyllis retired and went to the farm.

Phyllis was a member of the Wann Baptist Church and the Bartlesville Indian Women’s Club. Through the years Phyllis served on many boards for charitable organizations.
Phyllis was preceeded in death by her parents, John and Jesse McMurtrie and a beloved sister, her grandparents Joseph and Katie McKibben, and many aunts and uncles.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Virgil Daniels; her children, William Doye of Wann, Michael Doye of Wann and Linda K. Doye of Bartlesville, her grandchildren Fred Doye, Tina Doye, Robert Doye and his wife Whitney, Jessica Scudder, and Jenna Sitsler and her husband Brian. Phyllis had 12 great grandchildren. Phyllis had a special unbreakable bond with her great grandchild Zoe Sitsler.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday 12-5. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

Phyllis’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Sunday, June 24, from 3-5 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, June 25, at the Wann Baptist Church, Wann, with Pastor Chuck Kerns officiating.

Interment will follow in the Collinsville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel.
