Matt was born on January 18, 1975 in Claremore to Harley Wayne Carpenter and the former Mary Anne Mozdziak. The family moved to Collinsville in 1978 from Tulsa. Matt was a graduate of the Collinsville Class of ‘94. He was very athletic and was All-State in baseball and football. Matt worked as a delivery truck driver for M and M Express. On his down time, he enjoyed hanging out with his daughter Janice and fishing.
Matt is survived by his mother, Mary Carpenter; his daughter Janice Valentine Carpenter; his girlfriend Jayme Ward; 5 siblings, Lynelle Carpenter, Karen Carpenter, Kenneth Carpenter and wife Regina, Holly Carpenter, and Carrie Brasel and husband Matt; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.Matt was preceded in death by his father Harley Carpenter and his son Treiton Carpenter.
Visitation for Matt will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Collinsville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Kelvin Limbocker officiating.
Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
