Frank Cherry
January 11, 1936 - April 30, 2024

Frank Cherry of Collinsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the age of 88. Frank was born on January 11, 1936, in Verdigris to John W. and Agnes (Tyler) Cherry. He served his country in the Army for two years during the Korean War. He married Patsy Nadine Adams on July 20, 1957, and they remained married for 66 years until Frank's passing. Frank worked for Pepsi for 38 years and retired as manager of the vending department. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Temple, a church he helped build. He loved attending services there and dutifully continued to serve by mowing the church property. Frank enjoyed working in the garden, working the cattle, playing softball, and watching the grandkids play sports. His favorite sport was baseball, and he could be found cheering for the Yankees and the Rangers. Above all, Frank loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Frank is survived by his wife Patsy Cherry of the home; his son Clay Cherry and wife Kathleen; sisters, Ruby, Glenda and Cathy; brother-in-law Marvin Adams; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Cherry and Jerome, Brandon Cherry and Gabby, Trevor Cherry and Shelby, Lindsay Brown and Scott, and Noah Dawson and Caila; 12 great grandchildren, Jaeden Smith, Blake Cherry, Avery Kinney, Kaeden Cherry, Ella Brown, Alice Brown, Owen Frank Brown, Olivia Dawson, Hallie Jo Dawson, Hollis Prather, Hadleigh Prather, and Sergio Silva. Frank was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Nadine Cherry Dawson; parents John and Agnes Cherry; brothers James and John Cherry, and Wes Ator; sisters Joann and Evelyn Cherry.

Visitation: 1:30 pm-6:00 pm, Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Monday, May 6, 2024, at Maranatha Baptist Temple with Pastor Andy Plunk officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
