Phillip Wade "Phil" Pratt

He was born in Elk City, OK to Wade and Blanche Pratt. He was the oldest of 3 sons. Phil graduated from Butler High School in 1967. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in 1971, followed by a Master's in Plant Pathology in 1977. While attending OSU, he became a member of the fraternity of Alpha Gamma Rho, where he made many lifelong friends. It was also while attending OSU that Phil met his future wife, Mary Carole Mayhall. Phil began working for OSU Extension Service in 1975. During his career, he spent many years working as the Area Extension Plant Pathologist for Northeast Oklahoma and later became County Director of the Tulsa County Extension Program. In 2010 he was elected president of the National Association of County Agriculture Agents. He retired after 35 years with OSU. Phil married Mary Carole in 1976. They settled in Muskogee and raised 3 sons. Clint was born in 1979 followed by a set of twins, Jason and Justin in 1983. Phil was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father Wade Pratt.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Mary Carole Pratt; his mother Blanche Ford; children, Clint Pratt and wife Jenny, Jason Pratt and wife Inna, Justin Pratt and wife Katie; his grandchildren Grayson, Penelope, Caleb, Nathanael, Vance, Isaac, Ethan, Aiden and Clara; his siblings, Dennis Pratt and wife Jennie, Kevin Pratt and wife Tamra.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday September 23 at First
United Methodist in Broken Arrow.
Interment will follow at Memorial
Park Cemetery, 51st and Memorial in Tulsa.
Funeral services are under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home
1660 S Elm Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
