FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)
Cornelia Janet Pasqua, 83 and longtime resident of
Bartlesville, was in Dewey when she joined her Heavenly Father.
Janet was born the daughter of Charles Curtis and Louisa (Bushyhead) Peak on
August 4, 1933, in Claremore, OK. She was raised in the Grove and Jay, OK area
and graduated from Chilocco Indian School in 1951. She furthered her education
at the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS, where she met the love of her life
Clarence William Pasqua. They were united in marriage on May 1, 1953, in Tulsa
where they made their home. In 1960, they moved to Bartlesville where they
raised their family.
Janet was a loving mother who doted on her children, always encouraging them to
read and pursue a lifelong passion for learning. Once the children were older
she worked various administrative jobs in Bartlesville before starting her
career with Phillips Petroleum Co., finally retiring in 1992. Once retired Janet
and Clarence were inseparable, and they enjoyed nearly 64 years of loving
marriage. They took many car rides, short and long, and many memorable trips to
California to visit family.
Janet loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. She faithfully
taught Sunday school for many years. Baseball was her favorite sport to watch
and she volunteered countless hours with the Red Cross. Janet was very proud of
her Cherokee heritage and the fact that she was a full blood Cherokee citizen.
Most of all she loved spending time with her family, being outdoors, cooking,
and caring for her children and grandchildren. Her final years were spent
residing in the Medial Lodge of Dewey, Ok. While there she continued to bless
all those around her by always displaying a smile and inner strength that bore
witness to her strong faith in God. She will be greatly and forever missed.
Janet is survived by her beloved husband Clarence of the home; four children,
Craig Randall Pasqua and Lyn of Sunnyvale, CA, Phil Cary Pasqua and Rosa of
Sacramento, CA, Kara Beth Pasqua Whitworth and Kevin Cole of Skiatook, Cinda
Louise Pasqua of Tulsa; one sister Bertha Lee Rothhammer of Broken Arrow; one
sister in law Mary Sue Peak of Oakhurst, OK; seven grandchildren, John
Whitworth, Matthew Whitworth, Mateo Pasqua, Paola Pasqua, Josh Bauer, Katy
Garvey and Kate Whitworth; four great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces
and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Clarence

Louise Peak and Stan Watie Peak.
