The funeral service for Etta Louise “Lou” Armstrong, 72 year-old Enid resident will be 10:00AM Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Grace World Outreach Church. Pastor Wayne Bland will officiate. A private family burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Lou was born on January 3, 1939 in Altus, Oklahoma to Bill and Ethel Faye (Hunt) Roberson and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, peacefully surrounded by her family on August 8, 2011. Lou was reared in Altus, Oklahoma where she met Joseph Darrell Armstrong. They were married December 8, 1963. and in 1965 gave birth to their daughter , Kelly. In 1969,they gave birth to their son, Joey. Lou and her family moved to Enid in 1970, where she dedicated her life to making a loving home for them.

She was an active member of Grace World Outreach Church and was known to all as “:Grandma Lou”. Lou lived her life as a true servant of her Heavenly Father-always putting others before herself, and as a light and witness to all who knew her. The lives she touched were countless. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Joseph, of the home, daughter Kelly Fox and son Joey Armstrong and wife Mary of Enid, and five grandchildren; Austin Fox, Joey Armstrong III, Ashton Armstrong, Ethan Armstrong, and Ellie-Grace Armstrong. One brother Clifford D. Roberson of Altus, and one sister, Shirlene Condon, Slidell, LA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Jerry Max and Sammy, and sisters, Billie Faye and Gay Nell.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Grace World Outreach Church Children’s Ministry.
