Ronald “Ronnie” Steven Hayes, 69, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 7 th 2021.
He was born on July 25 th 1951, in Tulsa, OK to Louis and Mary Ann Hayes. At age 9, the family moved to Avant, OK, where he grew up with his 2 older brothers and 1 younger sister. He was a retired mechanic from the City of Tulsa after 28+ years. He married his wife of 43 years on February 18th, 1978 and had 3 daughters. He had great love for all his family and made sure each, and every one of them knew they were loved and protected by him. His greatest possession was his faith in God, and everyone who met him, knew that. He was never shy about telling anyone. As a talented, self-taught mechanic; he could fix anything with a motor. Hunting season was his favorite time of the year; only coming out of the woods for special occasions.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Hayes, daughters: Amy Rice (Seth), April Golightly (Todd), Victoria Hunn (James), 5 grandchildren: Abagail Golightly, David Golightly, Aspyn Buchanan, Trinidy Rice, and Dalton Hunn, brothers: David Hayes (Barbara), Roger Hayes (Kathy), sister: Kathy Parsons (John), his mother: Mary Ann Hayes, and multiple nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by, his father Louis Hayes, mother-in-law, Mabel Nichols, father-in-law, Bennie Flynn, Sr., sister-in-law- Christine Harrison, brothers-in-law Tommy Flynn and Don Harrison, and nephew Harry Wayne Flynn.
Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 pm, Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Oologah Assembly of God with Rev. Kent Jensen officiating.
Interment will be 3:30 pm, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the Green Acres Memorial Park Cemetery, 12410 N Yale Ave, Sperry, OK.
Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
