Pauline "Lynn" Lenore Shea
December 28, 1929 - July 1, 2025
Pauline "Lynn" Lenore Shea, 95, longtime Bartlesville resident, died Tuesday in Bartlesville. Lynn was the most amazing wife, mother and grandmother anyone could ask for - she put her family first in everything she did.
Lynn was born the daughter of Paul and Iona Viola (Porter) Watson on December 28, 1929 in Wichita, KS where she was raised and graduated from high school. She loved school and singing in the choir.
Lynn was active in her church and it was there that she met a nice young man, Richard Shea. They quickly fell in love and were united in marriage. They made their first home in Ponca City. Richard worked for the Cities Service Oil Company and this is the reason that they moved around frequently while raising their three children, eventually settling back into Bartlesville once he retired. Richard preceded her in death in 2003.
Lynn and Richard were very involved in enriching their children's lives with camping and other activities when the family was young. Once their children left home Lynn and Richard started traveling more. Their favorite and most memorable trip was to Hawaii. Lynn was family-centered and very close to each one of her grandchildren, sharing her passions with them and taking them to OK Mozart concerts. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, reading and volunteer work. Her favorite volunteer opportunities were with the Green Country Free Clinic, tutoring children in computer technology and reading, and with Martha's Task which trains women in need one stitch at a time. Her daughters remember mom as witty, smart and compassionate, always optimistic with the most beautiful blue eyes. We love you mom and will miss you dearly.
Lynn is survived by her daughters Cindra and her husband Dr. Gerald Pribil, and Christi and her husband Dennis Pavey; eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Meghan, Nathaniel, Brianna, Justin, Curtis, Andrew and Madison; 10 great grandchildren and a beloved niece Meridith Dahlin. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Shea, son Kenneth Shea, and sister Nell McMinimy.
Lynn's family will receive friends on Monday, 6-7:30 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel, 918-333-7665, 4201 Nowata Rd, Bartlesville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Journey Home, 900 NE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006 or to Martha's Task, 718 S. Johnstone Ave., Bartlesville, OK 74003.
A private burial will be held Tuesday, July 8, at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
