Dorothy Louise Harper, 93, of Bartlesville, OK, passed peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Heritage Villa Nursing Home surrounded by family.
Born
November 7th, 1923 in Iowa to Raymond and Blanche Jordan. She married John Fort
Harper on December 31, 1942. They lovingly shared 51 years together until his
passing on January 2nd, 1994.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, John and wife Lynn Harper of Morton, IL, Greg
and wife Jan Harper of Bartlesville, OK, and daughter, Penny Barker, of Tulsa,
OK, grandchildren Joel, Jill, Jack, Chris, James, Chad Donnie, Shawn, Jefiner,
Mandy, Jason, Amy and Jessie, great-grandchildren Joshua, Jacob, Jami, Sarah,
Makenna, Aydin, Ashton, Drayton, Courtney, Charity, Chloe, Brady, Austin, Avery,
Alexis, Taylor, Tia, Parker, Zach, and great-great-granddaughter Adeline.
She was preceded in death by husband, John Harper, daughter, Kathryn Schone,
son, Mark Harper and grandson, Jacob Harper.
Dorothy and John were instrumental in starting 7 Christian churches and spent 5
years in the mission field with Mission for Christ.
Dorothy left a footprint in the hearts of those she touched and will truly be
missed.
There will be a visitation at Moore Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E 51st St S, Tulsa,
OK, on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017, from 4 – 6 p.m.
The services will be Thursday, February 9th, 2017, at 10 a.m. at East Bartlesville Christian Church, 3221 E Tuxedo Blvd, Bartlesville, OK, and laid to rest at Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK.
