Aretta was born February 3, 1950, in Tulsa, OK, to Robert Howard “Bob” and Lucille Margaret (Perry) Sullivan. She passed away October 29, 2021, in Tulsa, OK. Aretta was a worship leader who loved God. She was a piano player and played from the time she was 9 years old. Aretta sang various songs in the church since she was 12 years. She was a secretary for Greater Heights Assembly of God. She was a collector of dolls and had her collection in a doll room. She also loved to cook various dishes and make her own recipes.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Houston; stepchildren, Toby Houston and Audrey Houston; grandchildren, Violet, Brandon, Alissa, J.J., and Grace and kids; great-grandchild, Tobias; sister, Sharon Mills; nieces, Charlie B., Kimberly and Robin; nephews, Charles Jr. Robert, and Chance; cousin, Marcella Rogers; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lucille Sullivan; sister, Marquita Mooney; cousin, Elaine Cross; and brother-in-law, Tommy Mills.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
