Crown Hill cemetery in Tulsa county was originally started for African Americans. One thing not well known is that the buildings were constructed with bricks reclaimed from the destruction of the Greenwood area of Tulsa during the race riots of 1921. This area was called the black wallstreet of America. The above pictured building is centered in the cemetery.
