Tahlequah--Funeral Services for Dorothy Boettcher, of Tahlequah, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2002 at Go Ye Village Chapel with Dr. Glenn Plumm and Rev. Paul Tavener officiating.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa at 2 P.M. under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Shust, Russ Shust, Jermy Smith, Justin Smith and Tom Karalis.

Dorothy Boettcher daughter of the late George and Louise (Biehl) Thellman, was born April 17, 1911 in St. Louis, Mo., and departed this life on Thursday, April 18 2002, in Tahlequah after reaching the age of 91 yers and one day.

A homemaker and pastor's wife, Dorothy moved to Tahlequah from St. Louis in 1997. She was a member and also a faithful servant of the Maplewood Congregational Church in St. Louis for over 40 years, where she served as a Sunday Schoolteacher and sponsored the Christian Endeavor youth group. In addition, Dorothy sang int he choir and conducted an in-home bible study class. She possessed a hunble spirit and impacted many lives throughout her ministy. A prayer warrior, she was also blessed with the gift of listening, which many individuals made use of. She loved helping others, but most of all, adored time spent with her family and friends. On May 29, 1941, Dorothy married Russell W. Boettcher in St. Louis Mo.

He precedes her in death, along with her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by two childre, Janet Smith and husband Lorin, and Linda Shust and husband Ric, all of Tulsa; six grandchildren: Todd Shust and wife Karrie, Russ Shust, Julie Karalis and husband Ton, Jeremy Smith and wife Kate, Jeff Smith and Justin Smith; four great-grandchildren: Tanner, Nicholas, Zachary and Isaac Shust; and many loved ones and friends.
