Frances Rogers Whitaker

Oct. 12, 1932 ~ May 12, 2003

Funeral for Frances Rogers Whitaker, 70, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Coast, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Whitaker died Monday, May 12, 2003, in Lawton.
Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery, Southwest of Snyder, under direction of Becker Funeral Home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1932, in Snyder, to Thomas and Cecil Thiel Rogers. She married Maxie Ray Whitaker on Nov. 18, 1950. She retired from Lawton Public Schools, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Debra Greer; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Liz Whitaker; three grandchildren: Mike Brown, Tina Brown and Devon Whitaker; two nieces; three nephews; several great- grandchildren; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Ann Jack; and two brothers: Thomas and Jimmy Rogers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Northwest 20th Street and Gore Boulevard, Lawton 73501, or to Hospice of Lawton Area Inc., P.O. Box 2074, Lawton 73502.
