Ruby Lavada Millsap

July 31, 1920 - December 17, 2014

Ruby Lavada Millsap, Wichita Falls, was born July 31, 1920 in Hanna, OK to Benjamin and Maudy (Layman) Burgan. She died peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the age of 94. Ruby grew up and attended school in Hanna. She met and married Roy McReynolds and started a family. They moved to several different locations throughout the years. Ruby was a hard-working woman and held many jobs throughout her life, some of which included working at a cafe, cooking for a senior retirement center, and working as a seamstress. She was a wonderful seamstress and could make anything out of a piece of fabric. She was a selfless and caring person, always putting others before herself and enjoyed gardening and loved providing for others. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Roy L. McReynolds and Fairis V. Millsap; two children, Sue Gordley and Benny McReynolds; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Frances Fullerton of Marlow; Dovie Pace of DeQueen, AR; Loretta Lyons of Lawton; and Johnny McReynolds and wife Johnel of Wichita Falls; sister, Lorine McLaughlin; 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
