Kevin Brando Edwards
October 11, 1967 - March 11, 2015
Kevin was born on October 11, 1967 in Frederick, OK, to Virgil LaGrande and Frances (Rothell) Edwards. He grew up in Frederick, OK and lived there until 1986, when the family moved to Kenefic, OK, where they lived prior to moving to Maramec in 1995. He had a great love for music, cars, NASCAR and liked riding Harley Davidson's. He was very proud of his Corvette and enjoyed driving with the tops down, enjoying God's creation. He had a great love of the Lord Jesus Christ, his personal Savior, and entered Him in to many conversations. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Yale and was great friends with the Rev Randell Newby, the Pastor. Kevin worked for Trans Canada as tool pusher for about a year. He was currently employed in the maintenance department of the Convenience store on the Cimarron Turnpike, where he had worked for a number of years.
Kevin is survived by his wife Carolyn of Cushing, daughters Angelique N. Edwards of Cushing, Nataya Miracle Marie Edwards (AKA: Maddie Franklin) of Broken Arrow, Ok, son, Terrance Stinson of Cushing, sister-in-law, LaFonda Edwards, brother Virgil La Grande Edwards, II of Maramec, Ok, mother Frances Edwards of Maramec, Ok, a host of friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil La Grande, Paternal Grandparents Virgil Ray Edwards and Lorena (Hachtel) Edwards and his Maternal Grandparents, Raymond and Syble (Avery) Rothell, as well as many Uncles , Aunts, cousins and close friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday March 14, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church, Yale, OK. Pastor Randell Newby and Pastor Terry Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery in Frederick, OK. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, OK.
