Delta Marie Boothby, 84, lifelong area resident, passed away Monday evening, March 7, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.
The daughter of Hubert Lee and Edith Marie (Williams) Reed, she was born April 21, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Delta was raised and attended school in Boise City. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was united in marriage to D.C. Boothby on January 1, 1970 in Clayton, New Mexico. They made their home in Texhoma and she was a member of the Texhoma First Christian Church.
Delta was a receptionist for Next Step Network, retiring after 25 years of service in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Susie Clay and Laddie Boothby; and two grandchildren: Rusty Harkins and Brock Harkins.
Survivors include her husband, D.C. Boothby of the home; six children: Ricky Harkins and wife, Carmen of Chandler, Oklahoma, Vicky Porter and husband, Bill of Spearman, Texas, Randy Harkins and wife, Teresa of Chandler, Oklahoma, Rodney Harkins and wife, Machell of Guymon, Rhonda Hildebrand and husband, Kent of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Janie Trammell and husband, Clif of Texhoma, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Survivors also include one brother, Delbert Reed and wife, Bea of California.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, March 12th at 3:00 p.m. at the Texhoma First Christian Church with Rev. Matt Maples officiating. Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Delta will be accepted for the Texhoma First Christian Church Food Pantry. Memorials will be accepted at the church office or the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
