Barbara K. Ferguson, 72, of Guymon passed away early Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.
The daughter of Jack L. and Kathrine I. (Olson) Wyche, Barbara Kay was born January 8, 1950 in Beaver, Oklahoma. The family moved to Guymon in 1955 from Liberal, Kansas. Barbara attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the Class of 1968.
Barbara was united in marriage to J.D. Ferguson on December 23, 1968 in Stratford, Texas. They made their home in Perryton, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2000. Barbara then returned to Guymon, where she enjoyed spending her Saturday afternoons at the movie matinee.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Jack Wyche, her sister, Caroline Baugh and one step-son, James D. Ferguson, Jr.
Survivors include her mother, Kathrine Wyche of Guymon; three step-sons: David Ferguson of Hooker, Tim Ferguson of Odessa, Texas and Steve Ferguson of Shattuck, Oklahoma; her nephew, Kip Baugh and wife, Julie of Hooker and brother-in-law, Gerald Baugh of Liberal, Kansas.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday morning, March 24th at the funeral home from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Graveside funeral services will be Thursday afternoon, March 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Hooker Cemetery with Rev. Odie Nunley officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.
