Tiffany Denise (Rooks) Murley

Goodwell Cemetery

Tiffany Denise Murley, 31, passed away Friday evening, February 3, 2023 at her home in Goodwell surrounded by her loving family.
Tiffany (Rooks) Murley was born on December 6, 1991, in Houston, Texas to Charles Edward Rooks Sr. and Tina Denise (Johnson) Rooks. Tiffany was a miracle baby from the beginning. She grew up with her younger brother, Charlie in Crosby, Texas where they enjoyed riding four wheelers, playing sports, and being outside together. She loved going on family vacations to the beach. In high school, Tiffany played softball, volleyball, and showed cattle, goats, pigs, sheep and horses. She was also active on the livestock judging team. She was a repeat grand champion with several of her animals and won many showmanship buckles. She graduated from Crosby High School in 2010.
After high school, she attended Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas on a livestock judging scholarship. That fall she met the love of her life, Cameron Bryce Murley, at a Halloween party. She later transferred to Oklahoma Panhandle State University to be closer to Cameron and continue her livestock judging career. While in college, Tiffany worked as a student employee in the communications department at OPSU as well as Stage Department Store in Guymon. In December of 2013, Tiffany received her Bachelor of Science degree in Ag Business with a minor in Agronomy.
On March 22, 2014, Tiffany and Cameron married in Crosby, Texas surrounded by their family and friends. After their marriage, they continued to make their home in Goodwell where Tiffany worked for the accounts payable department at Seaboard Farms. In July of 2015, she began her professional career at OPSU working in the counseling office before moving to the accounts payable department the following year. She really found her niche in the accounting department and in November of 2018, she also took over the Bursar position. In June of 2020, she was promoted to Comptroller where she remained.
On August 4, 2016, Tiffany and Cameron welcomed their first child, Paisley Denise. Paisley was Tiffany’s pride and joy. She loved reading to her, helping her with math and spelling, and just spending “girl time” together. Tiffany and Paisley shared a love of the outdoors and animals. It’s impossible to look at Paisley without seeing that same outgoing personality she inherited from her momma.
In December of 2020, Cameron and Tiffany were delighted to be expecting their second child. When Tiffany was 24 weeks pregnant, she was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Tiffany chose to make the health of her unborn baby a priority before she began the fight of her life. On May 23, 2021, Weston Dean Murley was born at the gestational age of 30 weeks. He was a miracle baby and defied all odds from the very beginning. Tiffany spent Weston’s first weeks of life receiving chemo and visiting him in the NICU. While pregnant Tiffany prayed for a blonde haired, blue eyed baby boy! She was so proud of Weston, and she loved watching him grow. His presence made her entire face light up with joy.
Tiffany loved living life to the fullest. Her favorite thing was to spend time with those she loved. Whether it was a trip to the mountains, a drive to check sprinklers with Cameron, or an evening spent loving on her two donkeys, Maybeline and Jana. Tiffany also enjoyed spending time with all of her friends. In January of 2023, she completed her Masters of Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Tiffany fought her cancer battle with courage, grace and an unwavering faith in God. She inspired countless people along the way, many of whom she never met. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, determination and a love for Jesus. Although her healing did not come on Earth, we rejoice knowing she has been made whole again in Heaven. We are all better for having had Tiffany in our lives. We know this isn’t goodbye, because we will see her again one day!
