Chester Lee West
May 29, 1948-Nov 14, 2021



Chester Lee West, 73, went to his heavenly home on November 14, 2021. Born to Lee Carl Franklin West and Rose Byrd West on May 29, 1948 in Hereford, Tx.
Chester and Ladelle Kersh West were joined in marriage on November 5, 1966. Just celebrating 55 years of marriage. Together they created a beautiful family of 1 son and 4 daughters, the joys of his life, that also included fishing and having a backyard fish fry after a good fishing trip with his family and many fishing buddies, also hunting, winning at the casinos, coaching his daughters in Kids Inc softball, but refusing to coach them in the women's league!! He also enjoyed teaching his grandkids to fish and hunt.
Chester is preceded in death by his parents and son Bradley Carl.
Survivors include his wife Ladelle, daughters Kim Costilla and husband Gabe, Pam Romero, Dee Gowdy and husband John, Cheslea Collins and husband James; his grandchildren: Randy Costilla & Shanese Hilliard, Gabrielle and husband, Michael Nguyen, Arron Costilla & April Madrid, Garrett Lee Franklin and wife, Cora Beth, Nic Romero, Bridgette Gowdy, Jake Gowdy & fiance Brianda Cardenas, Cale and Cade Collins and greats, Cady Jo & Ryett Lee Franklin and Tayden “Little Red” Costilla, Kade and Korbin. Also survived by his Big Brother Travis West and wife Linda and nephews Bill Allen, Eddie, and Bear West, Cleet Blassingame and niece Dianna. And last but certainly not least, Special Friend/family, brother from another mother, Jesse Searcy and his son Telton & family.
A very special Thank you from Chester and family to Dr. Sylvia Tan and the Guymon EMT/FD and most special nurse Heidi Furnish and Tammie Keenan and the respiratory team for putting up with and taking such good care of him for so many years!
Graveside services will be on Saturday morning, Nov. 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Guymon Elmhurst Cemetery, Hwy 54 and Memory Lane, with Pastor David Moore officiating.
Dad was not fancy so he didn’t want anything fancy {his words}, He asked for simple, so dress casual and bring a lawn chair!
