Margaret June Phillips

Margaret June Phillips passed away late Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her home in Guymon. She was born and raised in Guymon. Margaret was a devoted member of Guymon Church of Christ, where she taught Bible classes. With her beautiful soprano voice, she sang at many weddings and funerals.
Her parents were Herman and Jewell (Hutchison) Ralstin, she was their first child born on July 18, 1938. Margaret spent her life in Guymon where her parents owned and operated the Guymon Safety Lane. She graduated from Guymon High School with the Class of 1956.
Margaret met and dated Glen Phillips for several years during high school. They were united in marriage on March 1, 1957, spending 65+ years as husband and wife. They raised their four sons Bruce, Bryan, Bradley and Brent in Guymon, where they all graduated from Guymon High School. Margaret worked in the High School Library for 20 years. They traveled to many ball games and music programs following their sons during their school years. Margaret also served as a Boy Scout leader for several years.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Glen Phillips of the home; sons, Bruce Phillips of Oklahoma City, Bryan and Darla Phillips of Searcy, Arkansas and Brent Phillips of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren: Matthew and Taylor Phillips of Gainesville, Florida and Kathryn and Romas Roberson of Oklahoma City; her first great grandson, Ender Austen Phillips is to be born in March. Margaret is also survived by her sister, Loretta and Jim Barnes of Guymon; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Ralstin, one aunt, one uncle and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bradley Phillips, her parents and two brothers, Gary and Max Ralstin.
The family will greet friends at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home on Friday evening, January 27th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Guymon Church of Christ on Saturday afternoon, January 28th at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the family plot in Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.
Memorials in Margaret’s name can be made to a children’s home of your choice and will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942. Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
