Marisela Mendoza, 23, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas.
The daughter of Luz Mendoza, Marisela was born February 22, 1999 in Brownfield, Texas. The family moved to Guymon in 2008. She attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the Class of 2017.
Marisela lived life to the fullest, wanting to experience and enjoy everything possible. She was a devoted mother to her cherished daughter, Nevaeh and enjoyed working as a caregiver to the elderly.
In addition to her daughter, Nevaeh, she is survived by her parents, Luz and P.J. Heckle of Guymon; sister, Mercedes Tapia and nephew, Xamari of Brownfield, TX; brother, Mark Tapia of Hooker, OK; brother, Lionel Mason of Guymon; sister, Makiah Heckle of Guymon; stepbrothers and sister: Jake Heckle of Oklahoma City, Tanner Heckle of Guymon and Makayla Heckle of Guymon; grandparents: Livia Salas of Brownfield, TX, Manuel Mendoza of Mexico and Van and Kitty Heckle of Guymon; and uncle, Adam Mendoza of Dumas, TX.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, May 6th at 1:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Guymon with Rev. Van Heckle officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 5th from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
