Winifred Lee Lear

Winifred Lee Lear, 95, longtime Guymon resident, passed away Tuesday morning at the Heritage Community Manor.
The daughter of John Arthur and Eva Pearl (Hildebrand) Sturdivan, she was born June 24, 1927 in Gray, Oklahoma. She attended Bethany School in Beaver County Oklahoma, graduating with the Class of 1947.
Winifred was married to Frank Lewis Lear on December 28, 1975 in Guymon. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2008.
Winifred moved to Guymon from Beaver County in 1963. She was a homemaker and baby sitter for 50 years. She was an active member of the Guymon Nazarene Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Lewis Lear, daughter, Diana Lear, infant brother, Roy Dean Sturdivan, brothers, Dwayne Sturdivan and Deloren Sturdivan; spiritual daughter, Marquitta Hamm; and step-grandson, Vincent Lear.
Survivors include step daughters, Dee Fox of Pensacola, Florida and Carol Lear of Topeka, Kansas; step-sons, Frank Lear Jr. of Florida, John Lear and wife, Shawn of Rogers, Arkansas, and Michael Lear and wife, Nancy of Guymon; step-grandchildren: Andrea White, Paul Potts, Robbie Cothran, John Michael Lear, Teresa Battle, Chance Lear, Kylie Hedrick and William Weaver; along with numerous great grandchildren
Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning, August 15th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery.
Family will greet friends Sunday evening August 14th between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Nazarene Church. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942. Friends can sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
